Project Feature: Vantage

Located on the corner of Forbes Boulevard and Allerton Avenue in the heart of South San Francisco, the initial phase of Vantage consists of two purpose-built life science buildings (Building A and Building B) totaling approximately 343,000 square feet, in addition to a high-end 30,000 square foot amenity center complemented with ample outdoor meeting and community space.  The building's shape, exterior glazing color, and reflectivity are based on the concept of crystalline structures. Utilizing an integrated design approach and designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.

Japan-based Astellas Pharma has leased space in Building A. Astellas Pharma discovers, develops, manufactures, and commercializes a wide range of pharmaceuticals. The company’s product portfolio comprises marketed products for the treatment of a wide range of urological diseases, infectious diseases, cancer, nephrology, and metabolic diseases, immunodeficiency diseases, and transplantation. This building will include a gene therapies unit, cancer therapies developer, and room for business developments as well as its Rx+ accelerator for startups.

GMC Commissioning provided LEED Enhanced commissioning services for the Vantage Core and Shell and the Astellas and Healthpeak TIs. GMC Cx tested the Building Envelope System, Domestic Cold and Hot Water Systems, BMS, Laboratory & General Exhaust Fans, Air Terminal Units, TAB Verification, Smoke Control System, Stair Pressurization System, and more. Additionally, GMC Cx is leveraging our advanced analytics software to provide 100% performance testing of HVAC systems with ongoing support for facilities maintenance.  GMC Cx custom developed Skyspark based analytics has provided significant value to the owner and tenants by saving utility costs and maintenance time.
