GMC Commissioning's expertise in complex and integrated central plant systems as well as an acute focus on mission-critical, business continuity provided the owner with the assurance of maintaining operations during the complex testing process.  GMC Cx drove collaboration with the team by pulling together facilities operations, controls and contractors to ensure a joint effort.

Project Overview

GMC Cx provided commissioning services on all MEP and building automation system components including the use of a documented contractor system start-up process, hands-on independent field testing of operating systems, and electronic tracking and documentation of commissioning results. GMC Cx has provided commissioning, retro-commissioning and validation support for various projects as well as COVID-related facility assessments.  Scope included site inspections and testing of HVAC systems with a focus on ventilation, filtration, and operation of automation systems. Also included was a retrofit and addition of an 800 ton water-cooled chiller to an existing 4000 ton plant serving a multi-building campus with lab and live manufacturing space.  Project includes the addition of a chiller, cooling tower, chilled water and condenser water pumps to variable primary and implementation of Siemens Demand Flow control for Central Plant Optimization. GMC Cx provided full Calibrated Commissioning services including a feasibility study, OPR, BOD, RFP and design phase and construction phase commissioning.
